The Former Ambassador Who Won the Hearts of Many

Daniel Taub went to Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government. He also went to University College in Oxford and University College in London. He has served in the Israeli Defense Forces as a combat medic. He was also a reserve officer in the international law division.

Danieli Taub served as the Israeli ambassador to the United Kingdom from 2011 to 2015. He is currently the director of strategy and planning at the Yad Hanadiv Foundation in Jerusalem.

Mr. Taub got to meet the queen in 2011 when he accepted his new post as the Ambassador of Israel. This job meant that he would represent a country he had immigrated more than two decades ago. This new job title would force him to give up his British citizenship which was something he was willing to do for a greater cause. This symbolized that he was an Orthodox Jew. According to him, religion is a pathway to building bridges between different communities and this is why he presented himself the way he did. He is aware of the opportunity and hope in the country and wishes to show the rest of the world that fact.

When he was leaving office many people were sad to see him go especially the Jewish community in Britain. He had definitely warmed his way into many peoples’ hearts. This is an aspect of his job that he will certainly miss. He has proven to be quite successful and many people admire him for that. He is at per with some of the successful ambassadors who had served before him. He has made major efforts in bridging the gap between Israel and the United Kingdom. This was his mission when he started the job.

Whenever there were crises involving Israel, he never hesitated to put Israel’s case before the government and properly represent his country. He has been involved in talking to the media on various issues on programs such as Today and Newsnight. He has also been called upon to speak in sessions involving women, businessmen and academics.

Daniel Taub is not unhappy because he is no longer an ambassador. This is because when he got this opportunity he was aware that it would only be for a while. He has enjoyed the whole experience despite the job being very demanding. He is now appreciative that he gets to raise his children in Israel where there is a lot of hope and opportunities for the future.
