Doctor Scott Rocklage is an entrepreneur, doctor, and inventor. He began his journey in the life sciences when he received his bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkley. Rocklage has a plethora of healthcare management experience. He has been in the field of healthcare management for thirty years. His leadership experience in this field led to the FDA approving three new Drug Application. The drugs names were Omniscan, Teslascan and Cubicin.

His business experience includes time spent as the Chairman and CEO at Cubist Pharmaceuticals and President and CEO at Nycomed Salutar. He has also held multiple R&D positions at Catalytica and Salutar in the past.

Dr. Rocklage has also served as a Board Chairman for companies like Relypsa and Novira. Now Dr. Rocklage is the Board Chairman of Rennovia, Cidara, and Kinestral. He is also on the board of Epirus and Pulmatrix. These experiences have prepared him for his own entrepreneurial future.

In 2003 Dr. Rocklage became apart of 5 AM Ventures. He joined as a venture partner. He eventually became a managing partner in 2004. 5 AM Ventures is a life science venture capital firm. Like most venture capital companies, 5 AM Ventures is in the company formation business. This is usually considered the early stage of business development and the time 5 AM represents this early stage.

Dr. Rocklage entrepreneurial experience has provided him with a plethora of knowledge and experience. When asked in an interview the biggest takeaways from his business venture he emphasized two.

The Former Ambassador Who Won the Hearts of Many

Daniel Taub went to Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government. He also went to University College in Oxford and University College in London. He has served in the Israeli Defense Forces as a combat medic. He was also a reserve officer in the international law division.

Danieli Taub served as the Israeli ambassador to the United Kingdom from 2011 to 2015. He is currently the director of strategy and planning at the Yad Hanadiv Foundation in Jerusalem.

Mr. Taub got to meet the queen in 2011 when he accepted his new post as the Ambassador of Israel. This job meant that he would represent a country he had immigrated more than two decades ago. This new job title would force him to give up his British citizenship which was something he was willing to do for a greater cause. This is an aspect of his job that he will certainly miss. He has proven to be quite successful and many people admire him for that. Retired Professor Donates One Million To Planetarium Project

No one expected to receive what retired professor, Mary McChesney, was ready to gift to a prestigious Southern California community college. In the form of one million dollars, McChesney donated the funds to their most recent planetarium construction project. Mary McChesney worked for the college for many years before she decided to officially retire in the early 80’s. McChesney shows a valid love for the college, surrounding community and the education of students. The gifted funds will generate a new pendulum structure that will model the Earth and its rotation process. The old planetarium located at the college was over 50 years old and with all of the technology changes happening in the world today, it was definitely time for an upgrade. McChesney is now 91 years old, however, she continues to take part in many scholarship programs and organizations. Her love for education and immediate passion for the community has allowed her the ability to donate the funds in honor of her partner, Adelyn Bonin, who passed away earlier this year. She was also a professor at the college who taught German. McCesney taught two subjects that pertained to Spanish and English. She taught for several decades before she retired.
